Melissa Connell

Esthesis – is a physiotherapy practice established in 2015 by Melissa Connell.

After graduating from the University of South Australia in 2000 with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy), Melissa went on to work in a number of different Musculoskeletal private practices, in which time she gained extensive experience in treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions. Her passion for women’s health and pelvic floor physiotherapy developed throughout her career, which led to her completing a Graduate Certificate in Women’s Health and Continence and setting up Esthesis Physiotherapy as the Principal Physiotherapist.

Melissa is also a member of the APA, Women’s, Men’s and Pelvic Health Group of the APA and the Continence Foundation of Australia and works closely with a number of GPs, Obstetricians and Gynaecologists to help provide an integrated approach to managing a variety of health issues.

Melissa is dedicated to treating women of all ages, helping them to improve their overall health and well-being. Her main areas of interest include:

  • Pre and Post-Natal Care
  • Pelvic Floor Dysfunction
  • Management of Incontinence and Pelvic Organ Prolapse

Melissa has completed levels 1-4 of Clinical Pilates training through Dance Medicine Australia and worked in various Pilates studios within Australia and believes that improving people’s movement patterns in conjunction with manual therapy is vital in long term rehabilitation.

Naturopathy & Acupuncture

Elena Williams

Originally training in Sydney, in 2000 Elena ‘ moved to Alice Springs. where she lived and practiced in beautiful central Australia for 6 years. after some wonderful experiences, she moved down south to Adelaide for a ‘sea change’. It was here that she studied a Masters in Acupuncture from which she graduated in 2012.


Now having studied its theory and practice and seen it’s extraordinary range of uses, she is fascinated by acupuncture In recent years her clinical work has become acupuncture focused and she is able to draw on her naturopathic skills to enhance aspects of treatment and explanations for clients.

By combining acupuncture and naturopathy she can offer a very holistic approach. she is able to treat the body directly and guide clients as to how they can navigate their way back to a healthier balance.

Although she’s committed to acupuncture, she still finds time to teach in the Naturopathic faculty at Endeavour College.
She is a Registered Acupuncturist (AHPRA) and member of Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS) for both Naturopathy and Acupuncture.

Chiropractor

Krissy Almeida - chiropractor

Krissy Almeida

Krissy is a family centered Chiropractor, local to Largs Bay. She has practiced in a number of family practices both in New Zealand and across South Australia.

 

Her mission is to support local families from newborns to well seasoned, through neurologically focussed chiropractic care, so that they may achieve the best from their body, and their life.

Through assessing the spine, Chiropractic influences the functioning of one’s brain and nervous system. Better information into the brain, equals better information out to the body.

 

She is driven to empower families with this message so that they may have more tools to support themselves.

 

When not at the House of Mother, you can find her strolling the beach with her little boy, sampling the local coffee shops, and circling all the playgrounds.

Lina cirocco is a registered Remedial Massage Therapist and is registered with the Association of Massage Therapists (AMT). She is registered with all Private Health Funds and offers the following services:

  • Remedial Massage.
  • Relaxation Massage.
  • Pregnancy Massage
  • Manual Lymphatic Massage.
  • Reiki

Lina is available for appointments on Tuesday from 11.15pm to 6.30pm, and Alt Thursdays from 1.15pm to 6pm

Louise Glennon is a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist.  See holds a Diploma of Remedial Massage from TAFEsa and a Certificate & Practitioner of Pregnancy Massage with Pregnancy Massage Australia.

Louise holds professional membership with the Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS), is registered with all private health funds and offers the following services:

  • Sports Massage
  • Remedial Massage.
  • Manual Lymphatic Drainage.
  • Myofascial Release Therapy.
  • Pregnancy Massage.

Louise enjoys using Myofascial Release Therapy and restoring a state of relaxation with her clients.
